     Hello people of the interwebs, you have magically arrived to the strange and wonderful place that is my personal website! My name is Flavory Avery and I'm a freelance model. I am a quirky creative creature that's hella ambitious and absolutely adores penguins too! It is nice to meet you. (✿◠‿◠)❤(◕‿◕✿)

     I have always kept a personal diary for all my musings, thoughts, and dreams, rarely to be shared with the world. But now more than ever I strongly wish to share my slice of life while networking and building connections with other awesome people. First and foremost I will be using this site as a portfolio for my freelance modeling pictures and dance videos, much like my Model Mayhem. These are my core passions and what I love to do the most. Secondly I will be using this blog to explore and develop my ever changing personal style, interests, and career.

     Some of the topics I plan to cover are my adventures with gogo dancing, performing with Insomniac Events, rave and festival fashion, planning photoshoots, my journey to becoming a professional working model, style posts, product reviews, poetry, personal posts, and honestly so much more. I hope to write some really cool posts that are interesting and relevant to you guys. I want to get people talking that have similar interests to me. I know yall are out there and I know we can make some magic happen here. Another goal I hope to accomplish with this blog is to connect with you guys across all other forms of social media.

     My dreams are really big. And I'm chasing them as hard as I can. Basically.... I want to become art. I want to help people of all kinds with their visions through collaboration in the creative process. I want to create beautiful things and challenge myself artistically. Eventually I would love to be signed with a professional agency and work alongside some of my favorite clothing brands, photographers, choreographers, and other creative visionaries. These are the kinds of people I hope to reach. How am I going to engage them you ask? With some really awesome content and a strong consistent online presence! I can't wait to share with you photos from my shoots as a freelance model, dance videos from my youtube channel, and overall journey as a creative person chasing their dreams.

Insomniac Gogo Audition Video So if you guys couldn't tell from the video above, dancing is one of my favorite things to do! I like to describe it as poetry in motion . This is the video I sent in to Insomniac auditioning to be a part of their performance team, which has been a dream of mine ever since going to my first rave. In this dance video I'm doing a simple freestyle gogo routine to the song "Heartbreaker" by MSTRKRFT. Using the space and resources available to me, the Insomniac audition video was filmed multiple times in front of my house on my cellphone resting next to my speakers playing the music until I had a few options to pick from. One of the most interesting things I learned over the past eight weeks about social media marketing campaigns is that they are most effective when they have a defined target audience, clear objectives of what needs to be accomplished, and multiple strategies or tactics so the brand can pivot and adjust as needed. All of this requires a lot of listening and planning. I would sum it up as intentional effort. Without that, marketing efforts can come across as bland, boring, and lazy. Customers appreciate being met where they are at with messages that are tailored to their unique preferences. A generic and one-size-fits-all approach ends up fitting very little to no one. The more value a brand can provide via cool content, the more followers it will attract and be able to engage with. To be perfectly honest I didn't care for the blogs on some level.
